Positioning Wedges
Bed Wedges are utilized to reposition bed-ridden patients, helping eliminate pressure points over the bony prominence’s to help reduce the occurrence of pressure ulcers. NPUAP and AHRQ guidelines suggest using a 30-degree lateral inclined position when turning patients to help avoid pressure on the hip. Other angles of incline are available.
