The Extension Fnger Splint's indications include damaged extensor tendon “boutonniere' deformity, volar capsular fibrosis of the IP joint and flexor tendon adherence. The splint is coated with a thin coat of plastisol and includes a strap, which is applied across the dorsum of the finger near the proximal IP joint.
- Tightening increases extension of the joint
- For size, measure from the MCP joint of the affected finger to the center of the distal phalanx (center of the finger tip)
