Orficast More

With double the thickness and more material per roll, Orficast More is a thermoplastic tape that provides a new range of clinical applications when compared to the original Orficast. The increased thickness allows you to use less tape while providing the same level of support. The 2.6 mm thickness allows you to avoid using two layers and enables a longer working time.

Self-Adherent Thermoplastic Tape

Orficast More is a self-adherent thermoplastic tape that measures three meters in length, offers two-directional elasticity, is easy to cut, and adaptable when needed. Orficast More is time saving and does not require a pattern. Multiple layers of thermoplastic tape increases rigidity and stability. Orficast More is easy to stretch and conform to your patient's injury and can be easily altered to avoid wasted material. The soft feeling, smooth edges, lightweight design, and ventilated material is made to encourage patient comfort and prevent maceration of the skin.

Application Techniques

Apply Orficast More by wrapping, sewing, or molding the material. When wrapping Orficast More apply the same way that you would plaster. To sew, attach the thermoplastic tape together to make specific patterns. When manually molding, mold the thermoplastic tape strip or several layers together for increased immobilization and stability. Orficast More is self-adherent and sticks to itself, as well as all porous surfaces. This thermoplastic tape features a low to moderate memory and can be reactivated and unwrapped if not completely pressed together. This feature allows you to make small corrections when necessary.

Recommended Applications

Use for traumatic and orthopedic conditions. Use Orficast More when quick and easy immobilization and stabilization of an injury is required. Orficast More is designed to wrap wrists, hands, fingers, and ankles. Use Orifcast More for complex patterns that includes the thumb post orthosis – using the butterfly design, CMC arthritis orthosis – using the whale design, ulnar gutter and radial gutter orthosis, and manchester orthosis. Orficast More is also ideal for orthoses that go beyond the wrist. These include the thumb-wrist opponens orthosis, de quervain orthosis, and volar wrist cock-up orthosis.
