Omron 5 Series Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor

This upper arm blood pressure monitor is powered by Omron Advanced Accuracy Technology, measuring five times more data points for accuracy. The Advanced Averaging feature displays the average of the three most recent blood pressure readings taken within 10 minutes. Users can also quickly compare their readings to normal blood pressure levels using the BP Level Indicator.

Powered using Omron technology, the BP monitor minimizes the impact breathing and movements will have on blood pressure reading results. The unit also features the Irregular Heartbeat Indicator to detect fluctuations or irregular heartbeats (up to 3) while measuring blood pressure. If irregularities are detected outside of normal parameters, an indicator icon will alert users.

Whether the patient has standard or large-sized arms, the d-ring cuff comfortably fits adult upper arms 9” to 17” in circumference. The bottom edge of the arm cuff should be 1/2 inch (1 to 2 cm) above the elbow when applied. The unit operates on 4 AA-batteries or an AC adaptor to eliminate having to change the batteries.

The cuff inflates around standard and large-sized arms ranging from 9” to 17” in circumference. The wide-range D-ring cuff is optional for purchase. The bottom edge of the arm cuff should be 1/2 inch (1 to 2 cm) above the elbow. The air tube is on the inside of your arm and aligned with your middle finger. Blood pressure can differ between the right and left arm which causes the blood pressure values to be different. OMRON recommends to always use the same arm for measurement. If the values between both arms differ substantially, please check with your physician to find out which arm to use for your measurements.
