My mother has Alzheimer's and requires total care. Recently she began sliding out of her wheelchair, so I sought a seat with a pommel.

When I sit on the seat I find it to be very comfortable. My mother is not able to tell me anything but she does stay in place and has been comfortable enough to fall asleep while sitting on the seat. The pommel makes our ventures on walking paths possible. We frequent paved walking trails so keeping her in place is essential. Sliding out of the chair while out on a trail is not an option. She continues to wiggle under her seatbelt but the pommel allows her to find that position of comfort without sliding off the chair.

I am very pleased with this purchase.
