Description
Surgigut gut sutures are absorbable sterile surgical sutures composed of purified connective tissue (mostly collagen) derived from the serosal layer of beef (bovine) intestines. Chromic gut is treated with chromic salt solution. Surgigut sutures meet all requirements established by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the European Pharmacopeia (EP) for absorbable surgical sutures.
