I ordered the appliance on the internet because their website stated it was “in stock”. After several weeks without delivery, I was advised that the item was, in fact, not in stock. I made a fuss about that and told them that if it wasn’t delivered by weeks end, to cancel my order. It arrived within the deadline.
I get that currently there are significant supply chain issues. Can’t blame them for that and as a business person, I sympathize with that. I would even concede that one inventory item out of hundreds might not be properly updated on their website- there are a lot of pandemic related issues that might explain that oversight. But, as a matter of constructive criticism, when they didn’t meet their promised delivery date as stated on their website, a timely email explaining their supply issue, their oversight causing an inability to deliver as promised with an offer of refund/—- would go a long way towards customer satisfaction. Although the item was delivered within my threatened deadline, had they done the forgoing, I probably would have understood and waited without frustration or concern. The product itself was excellent.
