Description
- This centrifuge provides horizontal separation, which has many advantages over traditional fixed-angle separations, including tighter straight-line gel separations to reduce respins and remixes
- It can spin test tubes from 3 mL to 15 mL, and even 50 mL, at speeds up to 4,000 rpm, with microprocessor speed control
- The centrifuge can operate at G-forces up to 2,683 to produce serum in minutes or at a reduced speed for urine sediment and other separations
- Additional features include a zero-rpm interlocking metal lid that stays locked until the rotor has come to a stop, all-metal rotor buckets and a wide-mouth metal bowl
- It also has an LCD digital timer and screen, rpm/rcf button, view port on the lid, a quiet, brushless DC motor, rubber feet to help prevent slipping and sturdy, durable metal housing
