Ethicon Endoknot Sutures - PDS II Endoknot Suture, with ST-3 Needle - ZK10G

The ENDOKNOT Suture made with PDSII (polydioxanone) Monofilament Synthetic Absorbable Suture consists of a plastic tube that is narrowed on one end and scored on the other. A 42" suture is inserted into the tube, protrudes from the narrowed end, and is swaged to a surgical needle. The opposite end of the suture is fastened to the second end of the tube. The scored end acts as the handle and is marked with a colored tape. PDSII (polydioxanone) Monofilament Synthetic Absorbable Suture is prepared from the polyester, poly (p-dioxanone). The empirical molecular formula of the polymer is (C4H6O3)x. Polydioxanone polymer has been found to be non-antigenic, non-pyrogenic and elicits only a minor tissue reaction during absorption. PDSII Sutures are U.S.P except for diameter.
