Description
Cardinal HealthTM Hydrocolloid dressings help facilitate local wound healing. The dressing absorbs wound exudate and creates a moist environment which supports the body's healing process and aids in the removal of nonviable tissue from the wound (autolytic debridement), without damaging new tissue. Cardinal HealthTM Hydrocolloid dressings consist of a wound contact layer of hydrocolloids. The top layer is a semi-permeable, polyurethane film backing, which allows for circulation of O2, CO2and water vapor, while excluding germs and water to protect the wound from external contamination.
