- This clot activator features a gold BD Hemogard closure gel for serum separation, silicone-coated interior and paper label
- BD Vacutainer sterile chemistry tubes used with the Hemogard closure gel help protect lab personnel from contact with blood on the stopper or around the outer rim of the tube
- They also help keep blood from splattering when the user opens the tube
- The rubber stopper is recessed inside the plastic shield, so any drops left by a blood collection needle remain isolated from potential contact
