Description
- Used to gradually increase MP extension and enlarge the thenar web space in severely contracted hands
- Each kit consists of two FREEDOM palm guards and two 5" L MP extension rolls (one 3/4" and one 1-1/8" diameter)
- Extension rolls are firm Plastazote high-density foam cylinders covered with soft, hook-sensitive fabric, firm enough to support without stimulating the grasp reflex
- To use, first apply the palm guard as directed, then, without applying force, press the small extension roll into the center of the palm guard, under the fingers
- Once fingers can be partially lifted, the larger diameter roll can be used; to increase thumb abduction, extend the roll 1" beyond the palm guard at the thenar web
